Julia Mack is a single mother of four children, Jasmine, Elijah, Travares, and Trakeen. The Mack Family moved into their home in Coleman Park in December of 2014. Julia graduated with her associates degree in Health Services Administration in February of 2016 and is now only 2 semesters away from earning her Bachelors Degree from Palm Beach State College. Julia has worked at Children’s Medical Services for over 6 years and has been promoted from the position of Clerk to Senior Administrative Assistant.
Julia is very proud of her children and attributes her Habitat home to their improvements in school. Julia said that all of her kids had difficulty in school due to constantly moving and living in crowded conditions with relatives. Two and half years after moving into her home Julia says that she can truly see the impact that the stability of her home has had on her children’s academics.
Elijah was supposed to start the third grade this year, but after some testing the administration recommended that he move to a 4th grade class.
Elijah reads at an 8th grade level and was able to pass all of the assessments required to skip a grade level.
Jasmine just started 9th grade at Palm Beach Lakes High School. She runs track and is in the pre law program.
Twins, Travares and Trakeen are in first grade and like to spend all of their time in the park located at the end of their street at the Coleman Park Recreation Center.
Julia also takes pride in maintaining and improving her home. She added high hats and light fixtures in the kitchen and always had a perfectly landscaped lawn.
