help build a world where everyone has a decent place to live
Each year, over 3,000 volunteers lend a hand to help ensure families have a safe and affordable place to call home. While some volunteers hammer nails or use a paintbrush, others assist in our ReStores or provide administrative help in our office. Volunteers not only provide labor that reduces our operational costs, but they are also vital to our mission of building homes, communities, and hope.
To volunteer, individuals must be 16 or older and must attend an orientation prior to being assigned.
Volunteers who grab their hammers and build affordable housing alongside our construction staff and future homeowners are vital to helping realize Habitat for Humanity’s vision of a world where everyone has a decent place to live.
Opportunities are available for both new construction and on critical and cosmetic repair projects throughout our community. Volunteers must be 16 years of age or older to work on the build site and must be at least 18 years of age to use power tools and to participate in roof work. No experience required, just a smile and a willing spirit.
Seasoned volunteers who are looking to step up and take a leadership role with HFHPBC, can go through training to become a site crew leader. You will lead other volunteers while assisting our affiliate in growing our capacity to build.
The Habitat ReStore and Thrift Store depend on enthusiastic volunteers for everything from helping customers to arranging merchandise. Whether you enjoy interacting with the public or prefer tinkering behind the scenes, we have a volunteer opportunity for you.
Our office is full of busy staff with various departments who need daily support to keep our overhead costs low, and operations running smoothly. Skilled administrative tasks, receptionist, database entry, or on-the-job training; opportunities are available Monday through Friday.

individual youth opportunities
Whether fulfilling high school graduation requirements or getting involved in the community, HFHPBC has a variety of ways youth can get involved with our organization.
Youth 16 and older can volunteer on our build sites, in our Greenacres ReStore and our office. You will still need to attend an orientation prior to volunteering with us.
Youth under 16 can still help support Habitat! You can raise money at your school, bring lunch to our volunteers or help paint or landscape. There are many things you can do, just call and we’ll show you how!
