and you can help!![]() Dear Friends and Family, Over the years, you’ve heard me talk about the lives changed by Habitat for Humanity of Palm Beach County. Just this year we dedicated our 250th home! My role has been in the background ‘til now, I’ve been the face of the organization for 14 years and I’ve led the way for our teams as we expanded our repair programs, increased the scope of our homeowner education classes, and opened new ReStores. I’ve helped with trusses and I’ve carried my share of sod... but this is as far out on a ledge (literally) that I’ve gone for the mission yet. I’m going Over the Edge! (My family will tell you I went over the edge years ago!) On October 16, I’ll rappel down the iconic 19-story Phillips' Point in downtown West Palm Beach to benefit Habitat for Humanity of Palm Beach County. There's never been a doubt about how important this mission is to me – now I have a chance to shout it from the rooftop! And so, I am requesting your help! When I step over the edge of Philips Point on October 16, I’ll be supported by a sturdy harness and ropes as I rappel down to the garage rooftop below. I’ll be screaming (because it will be scary). But it will also be celebratory – because the event is raising funds that will allow us to continue our important work. I’m committed to raising $10,000 to cover the average cost of a Critical Home Repair project and you can donate as well as see complete event information on my personal web page. In advance, I am truly grateful. I thank you for your friendship and your faith in the power of our collective efforts! Blessings, Bernard J. Godek Chief Executive Officer Comments are closed.
